Bencontenta is a typical farmhouse of the Veneto region from the 1600s, completely restored by the current owners in 2004.  It is ideal for our Papillon set up, offering the usual five guest rooms with the possibility of a sixth room for groups who would like to bring a sixth couple.  All the bedrooms are well furnished plus private bath.

 Ellie is thrilled with her kitchen, and there are two extremely comfortable sitting rooms.  The house has great dining space both indoor and out, and a pretty swimming pool with good seating area.

 The Counts Papafava dei Carraresi have owned the estate since the 1200s.  It is beautifully situated within an amphitheatre of green hills on the northern end of the Euganean Hills National Park.  The estate was landscaped in the English style in the 1860s by Alberto Papafava, a romantic painter keenly appreciative of nature.  

 There is a unique artificial grotto under the main villa, as well as an 18- hole golf course.  The estate is used for training racehorses and has a couple of practice rings close to the house.
